Tomato Basil Salad

Lay sliced tomatoes on a platter or casserole dish. Add fresh chopped basil and shaved onions. Add cheese. Drizzle the olive oil and the balsamic vinegar (3 parts oil to 1 part vinegar) over the salad. Sprinkle salt and grind fresh pepper to taste. Using a large serving spoon scoop juices from the bottom of the platter and pour over the salad. Repeat often for 30-60 minutes before service.

  • Fine Chopped Fresh Basil
  • Choice of Cheese
  • (Fresh Mozzarella, Crumbled
  • Gorgonzola,
  • Shredded Parmesan, etc…)
  • Balsamic Vinegar
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Fresh Cracked Pepper
  • Salt to taste
